New here!

Hi all, new to the forum here and have had a very limited use with another forum for a specific vehicle as well (first gen Dodge Cummins) but haven't really done much with posting, asking questions, sharing info, or the such. Thank you for welcoming me in!

I have a 2002 R50 5 speed I just got from my uncle for helping him hook up some home audio, so I don't really have any money in this thing (yet).
There are some issues with the car, namely the tach and all lights in it don't work (have looked at many threads on here about this), the DSC light is on nearly all the time, the airbag light is on ALL the time, the sunroof drain was leaking on LF corner (took down corner of headliner and put it back on, thanks NAM threads!) And probably the most troubling is the HVAC doesn't work (auto climate control). The control panel doesn't light up at all, no functions, no defrost or changing between settings, nothing at all. I have removed the unit and checked the plug, the induction fan for ambient air temp is running but it seems I have no power to the unit. I have not had a chance to get a second unit to try in place and my DVOM has probes too large to get into the plug and make sure there is actually power to it. I'm thinking BCM due to water leak but haven't gotten to tearing through the carpet and floor to check just yet.
Also fuse F-5 doesn't have power to it (assuming this is why the tach is non-op). The fuse is good but no power to the fuse itself.
I know this is more introductory thread but just introducing my new (to me) car, and introducing all her issues lol! Thanks again for allowing me to join, and for being such a great resource!

Hi and welcome to NAM!
Direct you questions in the gen 1 area, for more responces to your questions!
Water leaking in the front driver side, means that water go into the fuses and wiring in the diver side kick panel. There make be wires corroded and even corroded and fell off. If your windows are still working, you are lucky, as they often go out also!
I hope you are able to work on your Mini yourself, or help from friends, or this would cost too much to fix at the dealer level.
Show us some pics!
Congrats on acquiring a gen 1 Mini!
