Hi everyone,

A little about me:

1. This is my first Mini
2. It’s an R56 MCS w/ a 6-Speed Manual in BRG
3. I got this car for free, needing quite a bit of work to sort it out
4. It’s running and driving but still needs work
5. I’m here to meet new people and try to learn why people are such fanatics about the brand
6. My passion has always been Subaru’s and everything JDM, so I have a lot to learn about the British/German alliance

Ask me anything, and I will answer as honestly as possible

Nice to meet you everyone!

GaGa-Sama

She looks the part!

This is about as British as I get...

Thanks for reply!

1. She’s giving a code for the driver side rear wheel speed sensor, but replaced it and still giving same error and warning light trifecta ( DSC, BRAKE, ABS)

need to test the line from the fuse back next I guess?

2. Bushings (control arm)

3. Tires and alignment

4. Some white smoke (steam?) from the tail pipe on start up, but goes away. maybe head gasket?

We have already

replaced a lot of coolant related parts behind the engine as there were leaks.

Walnut blasted the valves

Would like to

+ oil catch can
+ CAI
+ slightly louder exhaust
+ better speakers

Not bad at all...other things you might want to add to the list if they weren't done already are the timing chain, turbo oil feed line, oil filter housing gasket.

book mark these two sites:

Realoem,com
newtis.info

also, if you're planning to keep the car for a long time, I suggest getting ISTAD, INPA, NCS, and WinFkp with K+Dcan obd/usb cable. these are great tools for diagnostics, programming, and coding.
