New Member- Car question
Hi all. I am new to this forum, and am from Ohio. I own a 2012 Mini Cooper countryman S model. Recently I’ve noticed a weird noise when starting the car cold. It’s in the video below. I’ve owned the car for 2 years and never recall hearing anything like that. If anyone can help, I would greatly appreciate it!!
I can not really get what you are trying to say. Is it clacking until oil pressure builds up, or something different?
If it is clacking, just on start up, what oil are you using?
If it is sounding like the valve train, the oil filter bypass may be stuck open, or the chain guides have broken and failed.
ps. I see no video

Sorry. The video didn’t upload. I will try to upload the video once I figure out how to upload it to this site.
this may or may not help: but the clacking noise is when I cold start the car, and the first minute or two with the engine running after the cold start. It goes away afterwards.
Dealer has been servicing my car and they use 5W-30 synthetic
im getting no check engine light
