Back in 2014 my wife and I bought a red countryman s, which I added lighting and roof racks too, stuff like that... it was a manual transmission. At the time they had a Roadster in the showroom as well, and I thought "that will be my car some day." Soon after they stopped making them. :/

My kids are learning to drive and we had been teaching them on our manuals (I had a Honda), but... as well as they have learned to shift they still have issues when it does not go smoothly so we thought, "OK, automatics to learn on". So my wife went to Mini and found a gorgeous, used Park Lane (2016 with only 16K on it) and I found (only one on the lot) a British Racing Green 2013 Mini Cooper S Roadster!!! My favorite color!

So we did a double-deal. We are now both Mini drivers.

My wife regularly takes the kids to Mini on the Mack (sp?) but it looks like this year it will be a family affair, as my in-laws also have a convertible Mini. :D

Anyway, already driving with the top down, it is a blast!

 

Two Minis are always better than one. They make you smile, don't they?

 

They do! About to head out top-down with my daughter. She was very excited about the convertible.

Thanks! I am having SO much fun with it... top down every day (and in Phoenix even in the Winter that works fine). Honestly, the car is quieter and just more exciting in general with the top down.

Thanks. Well back when my wife bought her 2014 Countryman I knew I wanted a Roadster... then... they just stopped making them! So when I saw this one I just had to jump on it.

 

Time for another wash and wax this weekend (as I also reconfigure my garage to keep her parked inside)... and then I think I will do a photo shoot and upload to my gallery.
