Welcome

I've had several MGs so the new MINI is a good match

Welcome to the forum. When I drive my first gen MINI, "modern car" is the last thing that comes to mind. I guess it is all in your prospective. I suspect that coming from an MG, the MINI is modern without going too far.

We need pictures of the fleet.

In the early 1970's I purchase a 1967 MGB roadster. I replaced the non syncro OD transmission with a 70's all syncro OD transmission. I drove the car daily for 12 years and truly loved it for the time.
Was there highest HP year. I think it was 101HP, or somewhere there about. The 06 MCS JCW (210 Hp) that I have now, is not comparable, as it does everything better and is the most fun road car I have driven. Not the fastest for sure, but it is a monster handling car on the twisties here in southern Oregon.
Fast and fun 1.6 LT supercharged go kart!

And fun. It’s about 155 HP at the moment, complete sleeper. I could bump up the motor to a 3.4 with a Demon 1000 carb, a guy with that set up says he’s around 225 at the wheels. Anymore than that you run into body twist issues.

Once I get it running right (ECM mapping issue) I’m gonna put it on the dyno to see where it’s at. Definitely fun to drive the windy roads of Missouri

I'm assuming it's an S10/S15 drivetrain, just not the kind of thing people usually swap into sports cars. Definitely cool.

Correct. If I went with fuel injection, that came out of mid 80s Camaro. That block bores out to a 3.4L which is how you get the 200 HP plus numbers along with a good amount of torque.

Old poster here, haven't been here for years. Had a 2002 R53 that I added whole bunch of mods, too many to list but check them below in my signature spot with my good friend's Jan's tune, he got it to 220 at the wheel. I miss this place as I spent so many hours and years investigating, researching, discussing and gathering data for my beloved R53 that is now owned by a young kid.

I was lucky enough to oganize a tune weekend with the old enthusiasts here including Jan that flew in and we did a full weekend tunning session for the full weekend. Mine was the last tune and won the grand prize for the highest HP number output which came at the end of the very last day.
