Well, after browsing here for a few months and shopping around I finally brought home a 2012 Mini Clubman. I'm the 3rd owner. First traded it in with 82,000 miles. Second owner bought it for his 16 year old daughter. She rejected it because of the color. Sold it to me with 83,000 miles. Excellent condition. Drove it home 45 mins with a huge smile on my face. Some men have a midlife crisis at 44 years old and go buy a Vette or something big. Me? I go buy a Mini Cooper Clubman! What to do first?
You can't account for teenager's taste. I suspect it may have been more of the fact that the father picked it out than the color. Regardless, her loss is you gain.
I have a different approach to the midlife guy buying a MINI. I have wanted a second car to drive just for fun for many years. It is only now that I am "midlife" that I was able to make it possible. Actually, I had two (new) cars, both with only two seats, before I got married. I had to sell one to pay for the engagement ring.
