Finally! After years of wanting one, I finally pulled the trigger.

Hi all,
Just wanted to introduce myself and my new ride. I've wanted a MCS since they first came out in '02 but for various reasons couldn't seem to get myself into one. Now that I finally have one, I can truly say that the wait was worth it.

Thanks to everyone on this forum for their input/opinions/expertise on all things MCS because in your own way, you've helped me to finally pull the trigger.

I just picked her up today from Mini of Concord (NorCal for those not familiar): '10 Dark Silver, black top, manual, premium & convenience. Just waiting for the break-in period to lapse so that I can open her up a bit. Until then, I'll continue to enjoy reading your adventures with your rides.

Thanks all for the welcoming comments. Having come from a 996, I'm particularly blown away at how well it handles--granted driving anything under 60mph during the break-in period feels like it turns on rails

Congratulations on your new set of wheels! The Mini is a nicely balanced package that is full of surprises --and most of them good . Similar to the heritage built into the 996, BMW has infused 50 years of Mini heritage into the design that gives the car perpetutity and quality beyond what its simple, compact lines may suggest.
