Hello all. I just purchased an R50 with a shot transmission. I am about to undertake a swap to Getran 6 speed manual starting this weekend. Any help would be great. I have done engine swaps in BMW x3 along with the coding, so this Mini should be pretty much the same if not easier. I think the big earth mover is the difference in wiring. Anyhow, good to be on board.

The swap is pretty straight forward. But if the car is a CVT now and not a manual you'll have to send us your computers to have them programmed and coded for the new trans.

Is that the same coding that I would do in a BMW? I am pretty comfortable coding. Do you know if there is a coding tutorial? I would imagine that a reset of the ECU and change the trans to manual? Is there anything that I am missing. Its been a while since I dabbled so I may be a bit rusty.
