F56 Rear Fog Lights
Hello Mini Fans - I finally picked-up my first 2015 F56 Mini and thank you for adding me! My question: I do not have the rear fog light option but the lights are there. My dealership says they are inactive and cannot be retro-fitted. It seems that I think they can be "turned on" from what I read. I am not mechanically inclined - but if they are able to work what steps do I need to do? I am reluctant to go back to the dealership for a couple of reasons. First is they said no they can't be done and they wanted to charge me $1800.00 to install aux. front driving lights! Please help...any and all information is appreciated.

You can code them fairly inexpensively to be extra brake lights, see here - https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...rcode-app.html
You can buy a switch from a Euro based car and code them as fog also. That is more money and coding as well.
I did the brake light option and it works well.

Welcome to the forum. Any pictures to share?
I sure it can be done fairly easily. Others, with more knowledge than myself should follow with suggestions. I have the rear fog light on mine. I found they are so unique in the US that people don't follow as closely when I have it on which makes it great to have in the fog.
Good luck.

Welcome.
If you make it up to this area, give these guys a call and see if they can get your Rear Fogs working. (My Indie Shop) http://www.swedishmotors.com/ they normally can sort these sorts of things out. These are the guys I turn to when I don't have the time to do the work myself.
Motor On!
