Hello all!
New member checking in here.
Recently purchased a mint 2014 R57 S Pepper White. Fell in love with it the moment I saw it.
Drives a dream, and handles like it means it. But of course, we all already know that about Coopers.
Meet Millicent:
Looking forward to learning more about Mini Coopers, as well as others experiences.
I'm sure I'll have questions, so I hope you veterans will have forbearance with a neophyte owner.
Happy to be here, and thanks for having me.

Thank you everyone for the welcome(s).
re: Whine Not Walnuts and ItsMeWayne - My family lives about 3 hours east of here, in Kentucky. The AA highway will be a fantastic drive for the car, weather permitting. Just south of here near Lexington the hills are more laconic and windy in a British Isles sort of way.
My roommate and I do a haunted road rally in Louisville Kentucky each year, and have already opted to take the Cooper this year for that. I'd love to drive it through West Virginia during autumn, talk about twists .... ah, the places I'd like to go.
Hell, who am I kidding?! I was thrilled when I was hungry at 3am and drove down the street to White Castle.
Any excuse to drive it, I'm happy.
Re: JABowders on the name - as I first thought of what the car should be named iit came to me instantly from.... somewhere in the ether. I don't know (nor never have known) anyone named Millicent. And yet it seemed completely appropriate.
The only mods (if they can be called that) I've done so far are a grill badges, a wind deflector, and installing Ghost / Puddle lights, as well as other superfluous "bling" I've ordered from AliExpress for the inside of the car. I feel like a 10 year old kid wanting to "trick out" my bicycle.
Oh and buying all sorts of items for cleaning and polishing stuff, after thorough research on NAM, as well as other Mini places on the Internet, to find out which is "best". lol
I've had several questions already, but in searching forums posts I've been able to find most answers. No sense asking a question a second time.
I'd like to see about adding a subwoofer.... somewhere in there.
I'll be certain to take and post more photos as the situation arises.
