Thanks to all for letting me join....have an '04 S with 188k miles....given to me by my brother....lucky guy. I love the car so far...runs great with a few exceptions I hope to clear up with your all's help here and there. My brother threw alot of $$ at this trying to get rid of an SES light. P0420 and P0036. Wish me luck! I think in January I may not have to worry about them due to the cars' age and Mass law.....fingers crossed. Semper Fi!

That would be me...1986-1991 (MOS 8531) honestly, the car was a gift, my brother put that on before handing it over to me. It had some peeling paint on the roof and what a better way to hide it.
The P0420 code may be to an intake system air leak. It is really common.
The P0036 code can often mean the o2 sensor heater is toast and needs replacing, but don't do this until you know there is not an intake air leak.
A super charger having air leaks can happen in many areas, including the blow off valve failure.

As I stated earlier, my brother tried a few times to get it fixed after WAY too much $$$ spent and had no luck getting rid of the SES codes....one question tho....I've cleared/RESET the ECU properly, left battery cables off overnight with key on and still cannot get the SES to clear. I thought from reading hereviews I'd at least be able to get it to clear...even if just till the next drive.
