Clunking r56

Hi

i have checked everything on my 2008 r56 cooper d, there is a clunking noise coming from the passenger footwell, i have tightened everything (all the bolts nuts...) checked the exhaust it does not touching the chasiss. All the bushing all the ball joints been checked with a good old crowbar... everything is thight no wheel play. If someone jumps on the side of the car with an open door it makes the clunking noise, and if you want to locate it you can feel it most on the passenger side footwell, closer to the middle box.

im thinking about the gear lever or gear lever cabels or the heating motor, because after all everything has been checked underneath the noise cant come from there... the anti roll bar busing (front and rear.) been changed and it did not ease the noise...

Welcome to the forum! Suggest you post this over in the Gen2 Stock Problems and Issues section.

How many miles on the car? Have you checked the front swaybar bushings and the rear bushing for the lower control arms? Those are both a PITA to change, as I know from experience but there are threads in the How To section.

Let us know what you find.
