First time getting a Mini. I've had many BMW's to include multiple M5's and I can honestly say that driving the Mini is much more fun than those cars. Sure, having 500 HP is fun, but nothing beats having a tiny car jumping around lane to lane in traffic. If there are any other Mini guys in ABQ, let's have a meet up!

Welcome to NAM! This is the best place to find information and advice for your MINI. Check out the Gen2 FAQs and forum - you have the N14 engine, there are some important maintenance items to make sure you have taken care of.

Oh, our standard greeting - post some pics!

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your purchase. I never understood the appeal of huge horsepower when the roads I drive on are more likely to have curves than high speed straightaways. A good MINI, especially with a few modifications is a great drivers car for the real world.

Welcome to Clubman world. Make SURE you read up on any issues related to your new-to-you MINI. Cooling system, oiling system, etc. Great cars, but they have been known to have correctable issues. Also, there is some info out there, I think on Motoring File, about MINI extending warranties on some parts in the older cars.

Anyway, you will find more than you need to know here at NAM. Welcome!

Hi and welcome to NAM!
I too had many high horsepower cars, but at the same time had lower power sports cars. I feel the first gen Minis' are the kick in the pants I always desired.
I hpe you get the joy, most of us here are getting with these little, nimble cars!
Congrats on you purchase!
