New F56 Owner

After 2 months of shopping, my new to me 2016 F56 showed up yesterday. Silver white, white top and stripes, gray plaid inside, automatic, Sport Package, Premium Package, sunroof, 17" wheels. Bought it sight unseen from a Lexus dealer in OH and had it shipped to my winter condo in FL, where it will live for visits here. So far - awesome! No ugly surprises, needed lots of cleaning but looks great now.
It has the Speedwell Blue roof, side nacelles and mats in it. I didn't spot that in the dealer photos. I was about to peel the roof decal off when my wife saw it and said no. She loves the blue plaid. She is softening on the roof decal though so I think it will go soon. The rest will stay.
I only have a few newbie questions which I will ask in a separate post. I know there is lots of knowledge here so I will be relying on your help for quite a while until I figure this out.

Ha ha. I think you caught me!

I have a 2004 Porsche 911 that I bought thinking I would leave it in Florida (it is a cabriolet). After a summer or two with the car in NC, I couldn't stand to be without it. Definitely not the right tool for the job driving in FL in the Winter, but on the Western NC roads....wow!

The MINI is fun, small for parking/maneuvering and fits nicely in the tiny garage here at the condo. Perfect!

Well we will not hold that other German car against you too much, at least it is a vert. Nothing better than a good old British car with all the options written in German.

How close to Deals Gap are you?

I am a couple of hours from Deals Gap. I live North of Lake Junaluska, I-40 Exit 24 then North on Hwy 209. 209 is an awesome road, and there are least two other routes very near me that are just great. I haven't felt the need to venture out and haven't even driven the Dragon yet, though I do need to try that once just to say that I have done it.

Welcome to the forum. And you do need to try the Dragon. I doubt once will be enough for you though. Lots of great roads in that area.

Would think you are closer than a couple hours to the Dragon (Deals Gap for those that do not know) but that entire area is twistie heaven.

thanks for the pictures. I love the silver and white combination. I googled the Speedwell Blue roof. I have never seen it before. That could have been an interesting look as well. Congratulations on your purchase.

It has the Speedwell Blue roof. Just can't see it in those pictures. I didn't know it was there until the car showed up! I am not really fond of it. Not sure whether it will stay or not.

The silver white almost always has black roof and/or stripes. Perhaps people thought there wouldn't be enough contrast with white stripes, but silver white isn't all that "white". Thanks for the nice words.

It has the floor mats. They are the all weather version, which makes sense in Ohio. These are dingy so I have ordered new carpet mats in Speedwell Blue. Trying to decide about the mirror covers..??
