New R53, looking to fix it up

New to me, 2005 R53 manual, picked it up in march with 46k on it. Already added 10,000 miles. Looking to do a super charger service shortly and some new control arm bushings and engine mounts to quiet things down a bit. I have been reading a lot on NCS Expert here and wnt to program some features such as auto unlock on turn off, etc.
i picked up some quickjacks this fall and ithey sure make it easier to get at everything.

Looking forward to the forum, I have already been search it for sometime.

Welcome what a great low mileage find. And even better it has no sunroof. Hope we can help you with future mods.

Welcome to NAM! I see you're using the QuickJack! Aren't they great? Be sure to check out "DIY help" in my signature for help when you go to service the supercharger and anything else you do no your R53. I am here to help if you need anything.

Thanks,

Had a civic before the mini, never like the jack stands. Plus I only had two, and with the mini's stiff frame 4 is preferred. So having never really liked jack stands I thought I would try the quick jacks. I borrow a neighbors garage and driveway so that means I can't do a real lift. I picked up the 5000SLX hoping it might work on my TJ/LJ, but have not figured those out yet as the frame jogs. It does look like it will work on the JK my brother has since its frame is straight.

So in short, no leaks, quick disconnects are great, love them, quick to setup, easy to store. Optimal given my work location.

It was too good to pass up, garaged or towed, very clean. No sunroof was what I was looking for, 6' 3" and to sit up straight to make the back happy my head would brush the roof of a sunroof version, an extra 1 1/2" or so without it. Very roomy.

Thanks, I have your site bookmarked already.

Thanks, already have the parts order here from you for the supercharger, thermostat, serpentine belt. I may get to it this weekend.

I love the quick jack, but as stated earlier , I borrow a driveway and a garage so its perfect. Would I like a regular lift, sure, do I have a garage no :(. Great compromise for those renters/house sitters/those without a garage. It fits nice under the R53, lots of room underneath to work. Oil changes, brake bleeding, all actually enjoyable.

Thanks everyone, this is a great forum. 85,000 threads, I have been searching many already. Added the transmission fluid change to the list for this weekend or next. What a great little car, and wow its speedy coming from a 98 Civic with vtec (speedy but not even close) and a Jeep TJ.

Congrats, nice to see you have the old factory roof rack and the blanks covers when removed.
