First Mini ,since 1972

Hi all from UK
wife has just purchased a 2014 Mini Cooper Black with a Dealer added red roof and wing mirror covers in red and what turns out to be a loaded spec
Joins an all BMW stable 2013 X1 and a 2007 Z4 3.0iS Roadster
My first Mini was an early 1959 mini in 1963 followed by a couple of 998cc Coopers
First BMW was a 2002 in 1972 followed by several through the years including

Which is your favorite of the cars listed? Always wanted a 2002, but hard to find now within a reasonable budge unless you want a wreck.

Ummm
A BMW designed from floor up with a platform used in smaller BMW models

V

a tin box stuck together by work shy, strike prone British workers in the 60s
using rubbish steel and pre war manufacturing techniques
and 50 odd years gap in technology
Borrowed a 197x 1275cc Mini Cooper S to take to the Goodwood Revival
(see www.goodwood.com for understanding)
thank heavens technology has moved in the intervening years
