New Member! Astro Black metalic - 2007 Cooper (Justy?)

New member here, call me 2tall, because when I drove a 1979 MGB in Highschool everyone thought I was too tall for it.

At any rate, this is our first Mini, 2007 Cooper, I think it is called a Justy since it is not an S or Clubman. Car is in great shape, but...

I have a noise that developed on the trip from from MI to KS after purchasing it. I will post the details in a different place, was thinking of the tensioner posts.

At any rate looking for help on that an a decent school tool.

Or I can take it to the Mini Dealer here in Shawnee KS, uh, anyone use them?

Thanks for the help in advance,

2tallCurtis

2tall... I'm 6'5" and I have a MG Midget. What type of noise did your car develop?

I'll look for the other Post.

Thank you JA! Not sure this is the best area to post and receive diagnosing assistance, if not direct me to the right thread and will post away. The noise is on the passenger front of the motor. Sounds like timing chain area, but I saw a post on the throw out bearing making a similar sound.

My concerns are:
Timing Check
Timing Chain Length

MG Midget! 6'5" how are those exhaust fumes in traffic! Every time I smell fumes I think my my MGB with the top down, LOL!

Gotta post pics! Stop someplace long enough for a couple of shots at least! Shouldn't take too long. You really don't want a bunch of irate Mini fans waiting for pictures on this site. Total Miniacs all. Welcome to the forum.
