New Guy from Oklahoma City
HI Guys,
Recently bought this 2005 MCS with a build date of Aug. 2005 with 113740 miles on the odometer. Changed all the fluids and had it inspected at Mini dealership. Reported only a slight leak at water pump and needed new serpentine belt. I changed the belt myself right away and am in process of researching how to do water pump. Car has panoramic sun roof, H.K. stero, chrono gauges, tires a little larger than stock at 215/45 ZR 17 and I love the sound of the Borla exhaust system previous owner installed on it. Any way here's some pic.s of Lil Zippy.

Very nice Mike, you have quite the find with some nice mods already! I am a recent R53 owner myself and just love it. We have some handy service and maintenance guides on our side, and a section devoted just to R53s.

Thanks for the welcome guys. M.M. I found your site early on, registered and ordered a CravenSpeed dip stick to avoid the broken dipstick curse thing. Got my eyes peeled for other stuff, mostly small to start with like floor mats, weighted shift ball, etc. This car had everything I could have wanted from the body color to wheels, gauges and pan. sun roof. Wish it had the L.S.D. I'm going to check v.i.n. number and see if it tells me anything but that might be first mechanical upgrade I do sometime in future. Right now just gonna have fun driving her.
Welcome that's a nice looking car with the rare chrono pack.
Doing a water pump is a big job as it is mounted to the back of the supercharger. The Bentley repair manual is the best way to get instructions for it.
