after much debate and me trying to talk her out of it my wife picked up her first Mini on Saturday, an R53. I had read so much BS about how expensive they are to upkeep and how much they break down, but after the test drive in the 6spd there was no talking her out of it. But i have to say that i am so happy she went with the R53, this thing is all kinds of awesome, it looks fantastic, drives like a bat out of hell and the sound of the super charger will get the blood going. I'm here to learn and just to enjoy the culture that is mini.
I will say that i did go out an buy a warranty asap as it has 78K on it, but here's to the fun rides to come.... Our first Mini a 2005 MCS

I do have to find and get painted the rear drivers side fender flare, between the test drive and the ride home it came up missing and the numskulls at the dealership can't find it.

Congrats, looks nice with the aero body kit. Looks like you have the JCW Tuning kit by the badge and the exhaust ? Looks clean, the taillights are a little faded , mine did they same thing so i upgraded to the euro one.

My brother said it was a JCW too, but my VIN says that it is a MCS. i will do something about taillights later, but i have to get a new fender flare first...
