Hello... um what the hell do you call the Mini owners? Munchkins?

I'm coming from 18 years with Jeep. My last Jeep being the 2006 Commander. I figured it was time for a smaller easier to park better MPG vehicle and I've always had a softspot for Mini's. I'm 6'2, 270 lbs so comfort and space were a factor. I was in Cali for a weekend and had the opportunity to rent a Mini Countryman and that was pretty much all she wrote. I came back to NY, sold the Jeep Commander and bought a 2011 R60.

I'll post picks once I've had a chance to wash it.

I've been driving it now for 2 weeks and I'm still getting used to the Console button layout. I've been playing around with changing the Steering Cluster to the 2015 version I saw, but without the HUD


so I can add either a 6.5" or 7.5" Apple CarPlay to the center console


I'll start rummaging through the search bar in a few but any feedback or links would be greatly appreciated

Thats off a F56 MINI, not a R60, so its cannot be changed out. Maybe you were talking about an R60 2015+ display which is gray faced like the JCW ones ?

Only reason I'm looking to move the Speedo is because I'm looking to make room for the App Radio

 

Those are not direct plug and play at all. I have not seen anyone yet convert a 2015+ Gen 3 dsiplay on a Gen 2 MINI. Good luck. The pinouts will not line up and you might have more wire pinouts on the F56 version vs the old R60 version.

 

The one I got was out of a wrecked 2015 Countryman

 

I'm looking for the 2011 R60 Cluster Wiring but I'll use the best of my engineering education to find a way to get this to work
