Are you out there yet? Any interest in getting together? Please respond here, and we'll try to get something going.

I own a BRG Mini with white top/trim, #26 from Mini of Towson. And you?

Moving to "Events".
As more of us start taking delivery of our MINI's, this and other threads like it will become more and more usefull in setting up member meets and alike.

I'm also in Delaware (New Castle) and have gone on a couple of runs in Virginia now. Would be nice to get some other MINI's in the MD and DE area together. I have yet to see another one around here since I got mine.

I live in Calvert County Md.and would enjoy it very much. If anyone is interestsd in nice country roads, excelent seafood ( we have one of the best crabcake rest's in the state here)and parks with good beaches and fine hiking. Let me know, I'm sure we could set something up. john tayman

Hey John.....I am in the process of trying to get some people together around Baltimore on an upcoming weekend! I will keep you posted on what is going on....I was first thinking that Fells Point would be really fun, but the more I think about it I am realizing that parking could be a major hassle....you have some really good ideas too! I will post something on here when plans are solidified.....
Cheers!

Fells Point is always fun. I can't imagine trying to park more than one car there though and of course the roads are of the lunar landscape variety. but hell it'd be worth a try.

Yeah I know......those cobblestones'll kill ya....but I so like the idea of getting pics of everyone's cars using the harbor as a backdrop.....there is that one lot over on the right (if you are at the bottom of Broadway....) I think they may have recently paved it, but I also think the parking is not free......I will go down there this weekend and check it out and let you know.....
Let me know if you have any more suggestions! (I can use all the help I can get! :smile

To get the harbor as a backdrop, how about Ft. McHenry? Big lot, good shots with the fort or the water in the background. Option 2: McCormick & Schmick's? It's valet parking, but then again, the restaurant might be interested in having such a fine display out by the water...

Baltimore sounds realgood there must be a way to pull off the parking logistics. I have parked at the stadium before to attend something at the conv. ctr. The fort could be nice unless all those british cars decending on it wakes a few ghosts etc.

The lot is just to the north of the fort, between the fort and the fireboat dock. Free admission, open until sunset every day....British invasion, take two!

OK Mini-G....you should help me....I LOVE THE IDEA!!!!! I have talked to a bunch of folks from the DC Mini Chapter that are interested in a meet and we are thinking the 17th of August.....Finally we have a real plan going on! Then after we go there we can go grab a bite somewhere like Little Havana (even though parking kinda stinks) or someplace like that.....do you have any more input? Thanks for the great idea!

Any more info on the Ft. McHenry gathering? I'm in Hagersbush and could be persuaded if it's not a Saturday morning thing. Gotta work in the AM.

Mr. Toad,
Just discovered this forum, I have been hanging out on MINI2. I will have to look into this one a little bit further. I use the same name on both forums. I also have a BRG/White MC. Mine was #19 from Towson on 4/16/02.

Here I am!!! Here I am!!!

Chilly and I live in Silver Spring. Chilly came home from MINI of Towson on 12/3/02. Still one of the most memorable days in my life (my first new car).

There is another Black MINI w/ checkerboard top on the next street over, but I have never met the owner. I even left a note on MINI stationery, with an invitation to visit us online at MCO, but I guess they are not interested.

Glad to be a M.M.M - Maryland MINI MCOer.

Soon to be Mini owner in Calvert County, MD. Due in port in NY 22 Apr. Expect delivery by early May. Look forward to any fun runs in our area.

John - are your daughters St*** and Ste******? My wife knows them. I think we see your Mini driving around often.

I also think some of the roads down here in Southern Maryland would make a good run, and end up with some delicious crab cakes.

C'mon MD MINI people! Before I got one, it seemed the area was full of these happy little cars. Now that I have one, it's like I am the only one! I can count the spottings in the last month on one hand!
