Hi, came to this site to ask for some help on an audio install but figured I should probably say hi.

Between me and my wife we've had 5 minis,

R50 Cooper - Had a Chd tuning bodykit fitted, 19inch wheels huge stereo, massive exhaust. Terrible!

R53 Cooper S convertible- Kept mostly standard. Wife loved it. Sold it to buy...

R50 Cooper - Wifes daily hack, was a bit rough compared to the others
&
R53 Cooper S - Stolen recovered (insurance write off) My track car. Fun but harsh and drank fuel.

NOW R55 Hot chocolate Clubman, Love this car, Slow but does us well as our only car. Currently lowered on H&R Springs and sat on a set of 17x8 Schmidt TH lines. Also fitted a removable towbar for my bike rack.

Plans are to wrap the roof in an off white and to wrap the rear contrast in mahogany effect vinyl. Fit a double din stereo.

Been a long time since I posted on any forums! Do I still have to host photos on something like photo bucket and link them on here? Or is there an easier (lazy() way?

 

Just press the little square icon that looks to have a mountain and moon in it. It's to the right of the earth with the chain link. Click that and then drag the photos or search your computer for the photos you want to post and click "insert."

Thanks, Always wanted these wheels for my old corrado so when some turned up cheap I snapped them up. Would be nice to go lower but our local roads are terrible.

 

Ah yes, those definitely would look great on a Corrado as well! It is tough having a stiffer suspension and lower center of gravity when the roads don't play nice. The springs are good for daily use though. If you're wanting to help with body roll, performance, etc., maybe look into upgrading the rear sway bar and doing some Powerflex polyurethane suspension bushings. It's a good upgrade when it comes time to replacing bushings on your MINI as well. These bushings can help prolong tire life, improve performance, better handling and they are more cost-effective than OEM bushings. Otherwise, enjoy and looking forward to seeing pictures of when you wrap the roof and rear!

 

Thanks, I'll keep this updated as more stuff gets done, For now Im just fitting shiny things. Next year I am hoping to work on the handling and get the engine breathing a bit better.
