Just passed 10,000 miles

While searching for a cell phone mount for my 2009 Pepperwhite (body and top) S manual Clubman (there ya go - full description!), I came across this forum. As an anonymous visitor, I found the forum to be a wealth of information, so thought I would join!

Yes, just passed the 100,000 mile point and hope for another 100,000!

Oh boy - must be wishful thinking. Or the wine.. That should have read 100K, not 10K.

That's a big jump! Congrats on the milestone, that's good for an N14. I'm currently at 65k and it's smoking like a train, hoping it's something small but there's no way I'll get that lucky.

The N14 is the engine in your MINI.

As your motor gets up in miles, it's important to religiously change the oil every 5K miles, regardless of what the factory service interval says. Change that oil early and often!

Oil Changes

Thanks for the tip, Eric. We purchased a new 60K mile extended warranty through NW Mini in Tacoma. So between the oil changes and the warranty, we hope to keep this baby running for a good long time
