Midlife crisis means I got my first MINI!

I finally decided I have had enough with being "normal". It was time for a change and this time, I was going to buy what made me happy, to heck with everyone else.

Of course I had to start with something that I could actually use and that meant something larger than the hard top. Thank goodness MINI makes the Countryman, it should make a fantastic gateway dru.... vehicle :-)

So last month I went and bought this little guy, say hello to Buster:

A mid life crisis is when your 68 year old wife buys a Mini Clubman and you 72 and want one also because she won't let you Mod hers. I can get the windows tinted and get 16" wheels and tires and maybe paint the wheel arches. Enjoy you new toy. It's a beauty.

Be sure to add MINIs in the Ozarks (MITO) to your to do list as well. You've got about a year of waiting ahead but it's a trip worth the wait.

Hey, I had my midlife crisis over a decade ago...I'll say that this car is a good coping mechanism...it will help you get thru it.
Congratulations!

Buster looks awesome!!!! Welcome to MINIs.

Make sure the debris that scored your front passenger rotor is out of your brake pads

Thanks everyone, really enjoying him. This is he first car I ever had that was really meant to be "youified" so I may be overdoing it a tad. At least stickers/stripes are removable :-)

SC R60, what you see in the rotors is rust. It rained for a couple days where he did not get driven. The water on the rotors coated them with a light coating of rust. When I washed him I backed him up a few feet to take pictures. I did not drive him enough to remove all the rust. Thanks again for the welcome, home to be around for a long time. Allan

Welcome to NAM, Flea77 and congrats on your new MINI. Thanks for the pics, really nice looking. I see your car's name is "BUSTER." So is mine.

Hey Flea 77,

Sweet car. I am getting one of its cousins next week! So excited.

Where did you get your Blackjack R60 Grill Badge? I love it and have been searching for it online and haven't been able to find one.

Thanks Helix13mini!

Dying to pick her up, but want to wait until all the mods are done so I don't have to give her back.

Welcome! I'm on my third mid-life crisis :D.

Hubby has a Countryman which daughter will be inheriting soon as he is getting an F55 S.

Love yours so far, looking forward to where you go from here. The best thing for me is that you never seem to finish, you can always add or change.

Annette
