New R53 owner

Hello folks, new R53 owner. Needed a fuel sipper thats fun to drive for work. Got a even trade on a used 03 R53 Med blue with white top. Its a blast to drive! Had some issues with P0340 and P0341 popping up but after resetting ECU and letting car sit it seemed to clear. Thinking about changing the timing chain tensioner and CPS sensor just in case. Car is a 2 owner always dealer serviced, has some flaws but hey it was cheap and fun to drive.

Little about my self, I am a mid 30s Network Engineer that shuns IT when not at work. I pride my self on being mechanically inclined and do most of my own routine maintenance. Husband to my highschool sweetheart and Father of a darling little girl.

Will be lurking around and reading reading reading...

No big car plans, replace some worn MINI emblems, make AUX cable, fix my central locking so doors unlock with key not just hatch! And get some snow tires.

Dealership, since removed stuck and broken tow hook that some red-loctited into front end!

welcome and congrats!

careful using it as a "fuel sipper" I have found myself many a time on back roads having a hell of a time, which translates to a non fuel sipper, but quite thirsty =)

get/make an intake and enjoy all the reasons why superchargers are the greatest things ever

Nice looking r53, cars are even pretty good on gas when driven hard so good choice for a fun commuter.

Car has a pro mini intake already, looking at under drive pulley and header maybe, but first want to pull supercharger off and clean and refill oil and change water pump as a precaution and maybe a bigger intercooler.

Thanks for the welcome folks!
