Lug nuts?

Hey guys! So I bought the car 2 days ago and loving it, already started to plan out upgrades and replacements. One of the things I want to replace is the lug nuts. This is the first time I have come around lug nuts like this. Use to the normal cap like lug nuts. I want something that looks not like a spike sticking out from my wheels.

Unfortunately I am about 200 miles away from my car, but I KNOW my lugs don't look like that! Are there caps over those nuts that are missing? I've owned vehicles in the past that have chrome covers over steel nuts, but I never pulled them off my Mini so I couldn't tell you what they "should" be.

What you have there is a stud conversion with standard lug nuts as opposed to the lug bolts that are OEM.

easy to go back. Take off the wheels and put2 lug nuts on a stud tighten them against each other and then just turn the inside one to loosen the stud out. Repeat 15 more times.
Make sure you acquire the correct lug bolts for your year as they were 2 different sizes.

I would take you up on that for sure only thing is I am missing one stud. Came like that, so I only have 15 studs to offer.

Keep in mind the OP might have installed the studs with red loctite so you may have to apply some heat to break the red loctite bond.

What year and model is your car? It might not be so easy to go back to lug bolts if the wheels do not have the correct size holes, such as if someone installed different wheels. The 2002-2006 had 12 mm bolts and 2007 and on have 14 mm bolts. Maybe the previous owner had different wheels or wheels spacers on at some point and needed 12 mm studs to replace 14 mm bolts.
