I'm not in first gear but I am back in a MINI as of today. Bought a Certified Pre-Owned 2011 MCS Pepper White. Love driving it!!!! (except for the pot holes in NYC and NJ.)

For making the pics bigger try using the [^^*] icon right above the quick reply box, looks like a picture icon ( yellow ) two mountains and the sun. Then enter the url link of the hosted photos.

On the 17" the side wall is not that tall on MINI and if you hit a large enough pot hole they can possible bend your wheel road rash the lip dependent on wheel. That why most people run snow tires and smaller wheel in the winter with taller side walls on top of narrower tires. Better insurance for the road. Just be careful, I know NJ and NYC has some problems.
