New Member From Seattle - On the Hunt

I'm Jason, live just outside of Seattle, and am searching for my perfect 2005-2006 Mini Cooper S. I've been looking for a while (3 or 4 months) just because I'm being picky. I want one with the chrono package or navigation along with the premium audio and climate control system. There's one for $11k in Portland, but it's Pepper White which isn't my favorite color so I'm continuing the hunt for now.

I've liked the Mini Cooper ever since a friend of mine I was stationed with in Italy got one back in 2002 and modded it for AutoX.

This seems like a great community and I'm happy to be a part of it.

So I debated making a flight to California for a modified 06 MCS, but after deciding against that when I saw a couple pepper white MCS's and decided I liked the color in person more than in the pictures.

So I called the owner of the white one I talked about in the last post and we are meeting Friday to make the deal. It was previously owned by a woman in her 50's and now a man in his 60's, so I hope this means the car has had a fairly easy life. This one has every single factory option that was available including the LSD so I'm pretty happy about that. Also has a clear bra on the front.

No big pictures yet, but it's l'll post pics on Friday probably.

No huge plans for it. Would like to do intake, exhaust, and a 15% pulley. Then maybe KW v1 coilovers, and some lightweight 16 or 17" wheels with Star Specs or AD08's. Also want to do some light graphics, maybe the JCW Challenge style checkers down the side and a couple stripes.

Sounds like a good find. Hope it works out for you!
The sport chrono package is very cool. I was so bummed when I sold my R53 with it, and the R56 never had it for an option.

Post pics if/when you pick it up!

I used to live in Seattle (Madison Park), but I'm currently across the sound in Kingston.
