JCW From méxico

Hello everyone!!!

After seven long years I'm back, in 2004 I had a MC R50 with aerokit, then because of work i had to sell it in 2006, then in 2010 my father bought a 1972 morris mini, which we still have (but it ain't mine :(

Now i recently bought a B E A UTIFUL MCS JCW 2006 (without aero kit. -.-)

I Live in Guadalajara méxico and i am a member of the local club.

Any questions?

Keep up the good work!

Wow , looks great. Looks like the pics worked this time.

Congrats on one nice JCW. I reposted them a little bigger for you.

Looks like you have the full Gen 1 Recaro Seats Early edition, that I have seen the Euro MINI Cooper JCW GP1. We Just have the stock Cooper S and Cooper seats here in the US from the factory.

Euro MINI Cooper JCW GP1

Yours are the same just in the standard gray/ light gray.

Thanks.

Yes fortunately i found it, there are not many of these over here, and as I said it took 7 years to found...

I'd like to remove the rear seats and install the strut bar, add driving lights, CF trim and the JCW aerokit

Looks really good and worth the wait. Nice combo.

I really like the fact the rear seats match the front. I would keep them, but if you need the rear GP1 / strut bar parts let me know. Its a big job.

Rally lights or additional driving light kit here: Part # 63120144132KT

http://www.ecstuning.com/Search/Site...63120144132KT/

&

Driving Lights Wiring Harness ( if you don't want the button to be on the lower knee part on the dash ) Part # 61120412968 It can be put in the one of the blank covers of the center console, near the e-brake handle.

Carbon fiber dash trim ( Three Piece ) is non NLA . Part # 51450391760 ( LHD)

http://www.ecstuning.com/Search/SiteSearch/51450391760/

But the three piece leather JCW ( red stitching ) dash is available Part # 51450404445 as well as the JCW leather / red stitching down tubes Part # 51450404446. The CF down tubes are NLA Part # 51450398865 .

JCW Leather Dash Set W/ Red Stitching - Priced As Set Part # 51450404445

There was a matching R50 R52 R53 JCW Leather Dash also 7/2004- Three piece.

http://www.ecstuning.com/Search/51450404445/

&

For the R50 R52 R53 the JCW Down tubes are still available.

http://www.ecstuning.com/Search/51450404446/

For the JCW Aero kit: The main kit from MINI is NLA for cars with and without PDC. Parking distance control. I can get you the pieces separately and see if we can piece it together.

Thanks and let me know.

The rest is the long term plan, for now i have problems like rear shocks, one tire is diferent than the rest, the front bushing where the strut a go are broken, the left (hidraulic) engine support leaked, and many more things to fix and replace. Do you know If there is a complete bushing kit in urethane?

ECS is a great place to go to as well as Out motoring, Pelican parts etc.... way Motor Work it's also great as well as Helix, Way doesn't ship internationally but they will answer any questions as well.

I think that there is a complete bushing kit from the vendors check their sites and good luck with the car

Thanks minibx. I have the leather down tubes and there are very nice. Not many people know about the driving light cable for the console mount, now they do.

MCSJCW06MX "Do you know If there is a complete bushing kit in urethane?"

We have the Powerflex Polyurethane in Performance version and the stiffer Race, "Performance" regular is good for everyday driving , "Race" Black Series is a little stiff and I would save mostly for track days or track cars. We have them all linked below:

For the R53 MINI Cooper S 2006:

Lower engine:

Lower Engine Rubber Mount

http://www.ecstuning.com/Search/SiteSearch/22116756406/ES261050/

&

Powerfelx:

This is the larger insert bushing and goes on the large end.

http://www.ecstuning.com/Search/SiteSearch/PFF5-107/

&

This one is a replacement bushing and goes on the smaller end.

http://www.ecstuning.com/Search/SiteSearch/PFF5-104/

----------------------------------------------------------------

Transmission Mount Insert ( Driver side ):

http://www.ecstuning.com/Search/SiteSearch/PFF5-108/

No bushing on the other side for the upper engine mount: Because you have the 12/2003+ set up. Just check it to make sure its not leaking oil. You will see black oil residue down the front or back side.

Upper Engine Mount ( Passnger side ) Part # 22116778610

http://www.ecstuning.com/Search/SiteSearch/22116778610/

----------------------------------------------------------------

Upper Front Strut Mounts: One per side from 3/2002+ Gen 1 MINIs

They can get cracked and then the front alignment can be off.

#1 in the diagram

Guide Support / Front Strut Mount -

http://www.ecstuning.com/Search/SiteSearch/31306778833/

&

Once you replace the front strut mount check the rear upper ones also.

#10 in the above pic is the rear upper strut mount, they can compress and start to sag a little.

There is the whole mount with plate or you can get them with just the insert in Lemforder brand: See links

Guide Support / Rear Shock Mount - Left 33526754123

http://www.ecstuning.com/Search/SiteSearch/33526754123/

&&

Guide Support / Rear Shock Mount - Right 33526754124

http://www.ecstuning.com/Search/SiteSearch/33526754124/

-------------------------------------------------------------------

We also have them in Powerflex version for the rear upper mounts:

Polyurethane Rear Shock Top Bushing Set

http://www.ecstuning.com/Search/SiteSearch/PFR5-115
/

Then I would have the alignment done, 4 wheel of course by a MINI dealership down there. Since one tire is different then the rest.

Thanks

I allready took the car to the dealer, I bought the engine mount that was leaking, upper strut mounts, struts, and ABS sensor that failed, complete JCW service (spark plugs, air filter, oil, oil filter) also cleaned the injectors [due to the crappy fuel we have over here I like to do it once every 50,000km] i think that's it!

I wil, however, buy the inserts and bushings sooner or later to have a stiffer ride and extend the life on the stock bushings. I definitely have to save some money and when I have enough I'll get everything at the same time.

I will let you know when I'm ready

Thanks for all the help, and heartwarming welcome.
