Hey Banderlin! How did you go about buying and ordering yours? Deposit, timeline, financing, etc.
I did the MINI configurator at home, printed out the build sheet, brought it into the dealer, and they put together a quote based on that. I would suggest double-checking once you get to the dealer though - possibly even running through the configurator with your MA, just to be sure (mine was built without heated seats, due to a website bug).
I put down a $1k deposit and will be financing via MINI (can't really beat 0.9% APR). Timeline = longer than you expect. The build happened quick enough (ordered on 9/8 & it finished production on 9/18), but then it sat and sat, awaiting assignment to a ship. It finally set sail on 10/9.
Ah. Thanks for the info. Um, what's a "MA"? Sorry, newbie question.
Were you able to negotiate a lower price--than the MSRP on the website or from KBB?
You must be itching...! What color did you order?
MA = motoring advisor (the salesperson). No go on negotiating a better price. That only works if you're getting something off the lot. Custom build = the price is the price. They gave me $500 off, as it was the monthly offer.
I got Oxford green with the black roof/mirrors, no stripes. Itching doesn't even describe it. The ship is going to appear on the radar on this side of the pond any moment now.
The MT is vastly improved. Midway through 13 they changed the clutch. Not much change for 14 other than the option of ordering stealth (no Countryman badging on boot) heated mirrors standard No optional rear bucket seats and no rail in rear. Not big changes. Just make sure you get involved with a MINI group or two.
One of our MINI friends stated. " I knew I was getting a fun car but never new that it came with an extended family" Facebook Mini Countryman Owners Lounge. Great group. Thanks Kyle!!!!!!
