That is one beautiful MINI. Is that a carbon fiber bonnet?
Not sure what a GTT230 kit is. Could you explain?

That is one flash motor! We envy the heck out of you. We've spent about 5 weeks touring NZ North and South while visiting friends in Hamilton and can only dream of having had a MINI to drive those roads. I've told friends here at home that I doubt there's more than 20 or 30 miles of straight road in the whole country. The only road we were advised not to drive over was Gentle Annie, would loved to have seen what it had to offer.

Thank you

The GTT is a company in the UK which does mod kits. And the 230 is supposed to increase it to 230hp. I havent put on a dyno yet so cant confirm for sure, but is a lot fun and sounds really awesome! lol

Yea, we have some really fun roads, lots of "off the beaten track" like the Gentle Annie's. Havent been out for a long drive yet due to working so much, but counting down the days till I get a holiday and can go for a spirited drive :D

Thanks

The GTT230 is a kit from a UK company that sells mods. Supposed to be 230hp at the wheels, I havent dyno'd her yet so cant confirm, but goes like a bat out of hell and sounds awesome! lol

Yea, we do have some very fun roads. Cant wait to get out there an give her a good "spirited" drive when I get a day off, and its not raining hahah

Will try and get some decent pics one of these days.

Same here, from Auckland too! Also been stalking these forums for ages without a single post haha.

Stunning looking, I saw it on TradeMe awhile back, must of been right before you purchased it. Which area in Auckland you located?

Well, here's my current MINI - 2012 JCW Coupe

and also my 1975 Morris Mini 1000, keeping it all original.

I bet you have fun on those back roads cos I certainly do I'm in Epsom, but I drive out to Ardmore pretty much every other day.

Yeah a few little thing's been done, custom remapped by NZ Performance Tuning, Forge recirc valve, H&R Springs & 15mm spacers all around. Then the cosmetic stuffs like GP2 Diffusers etc. Downpipe is next on my list follow with another map.

Someone really need to organise a MINI meet up here in New Zealand, really gutted to see all these meet up happening over in the State that we're missing out on :/

An entire nation's highways and byways built for the sole purpose of MINI motoring and no MINI rallies? You Kiwis need to put down your meat pies and get to motoring! You don't suppose I could suggest a few destinations do you?

Having one of those for a co-pilot, I'll leave that one alone. Yet, there's gotta be...

We've a small but very active club here that is always looking for the next adventure. If we can share any ideas as far as organization and activity planning, let me know. Just taking a wild guess, I'll bet most of who you can gather up have never been to the hot water beach on Coromandel or taken a walk thru this.

I'm in the central U.S. Been to NZ twice in '02 and '05, hired a car and motored all over the place North and South, B&Bs and farm stays mostly - and tons of meat pies and Lion Red.

Just saw you pulling out of takanini shops as I was pulling in, gave you the wave but no response, thought about doing a U-Turn to catch up to you, maybe next time haha.
