Noob saying "Hello."

Hello, I'm a noobie here and I'm just checking in to say hello.
I currently drive a '11 VW GTI on a lease due to expire late December '13.
I'm doing a bit of research here to see if I can go with a Mini as my next vehicle, or if I should hang on to the GTI.

I'll be appreciating your help.

Thank You!

Welcome to the community. I think that you'll find near unanimous support on this forum (as you may expect) for your next car to be a MINI. It's a fun car to drive and usually gets peoples attention.

Spend some time at your MINI dealer to test drive a number of models/vehicles to see what you like /dislike about each. If you prefer more aggressive driving and acceleration, you'll definitely want to test an S (turbocharged) model, if not the most aggressive JCW model. MINI currently has some excellent financing and lease options, and many dealers are offering some pretty good discounts on 2013 models on their lot. Good luck with your search.

Thanks for the response.

I was able to go sit in a Mini Hardtop in Lower Manhattan last week - front and rear seats.
Plenty of room in the right rear seat for me at nearly six feet tall.
Didn't get to drive it though.

It's a toss up of either purchase my GTI off lease and trade it in for the next gen. (MK7) GTI next year.
Or lease a Mini.

I love the GTI, it's a perfect all-arounder.

I just really dig the Mini as well.
If I could afford two cars, a Mini would be one of them.

My Mini reservations are size, and reliability.

I like this site, and I look forward to finding out more.

Thanks Again!
