All right, RavenGirl! Grab your oars and get paddling - whatever it takes to cross the pond.

I'm concerned it will take another week to get going on the ship, so who knows. *shrug*

Someone, in one of the many many pages back said something about a screen shot of your mini when it gets to port.

Anyone? My MA has no idea and my Mini is is port!

TheMike,

My MA took a screen shot of the Vehicle Inquiry Status Report outlining the VDC status of my Roadster. The content was very sparse. It did contain the time of VDC arrival and an ETA for delivery to the dealership. The VISR estimated delivery for Monday 10/7, but I an ASK MINI rep just said my Roadster was released to Precision Motor Transport earlier today (10/4) for delivery to MINI of Sterling. Big difference! I immediately e-mailed my MA and asked him to call me once the transport vehicle rolled into the dealership. Of course, being released to a carrier might only refer to a paper assignment, versus actually boarding a truck. Time is standing still, my friends.

WOO! I should be picking up my baby on Monday after work! Dealer said should be there tomorrow afternoon and then they will prep it for a Monday pick up. I also confirmed with them that the license plate was not drilled into the front bumper and they wont do that when the car is delivered! My wait is finally over!

I too told my MA to not install a front plate. I hope he listened and it's not done out of habit by those that do it!

We're moving to Florida form Virginia next year. I just checked Florida's license plate requirements in a quick Google search. It appears they do not require front plates, so I e-mailed my MA and instructed him not to mount front plate holders. I understand there are plate holders on the market that do not require holes to be drilled. Can anyone from Florida chime in about the plates? Likewise, anyone know of after-market plate holders that do not require drilling?

It's not a picture of YOUR car, just a stock one that represents yours. Still awesome. I keep those pictures on my desktop and open them every now and again to ogle.

She's on a boat. Or so says my sales manager. At least, there's another Countryman that was finished the same day as mine on the boat, so he thinks mine's on there. Will know for sure on Monday. WW site doesn't have anything yet.

He said it would get into NJ on 10/15, which would put it on the 10/1 voyage (CB326-HON) of the Honor.

So, woot. In theory.

Sorta bittersweet now, due to this.

Hmm, less then 24 hours to validate my keen sense of predictability that Oct 5th would be the day. I'm still pulling for the 5th you sure sterling is not holding out on you ?

NJ requires a front plate but I bought an adapter that uses the front tow hook to hold the plate.

I doubt it. My MA likes $$$$, so it's unlikely he'll delay delivery. I may stop by the dealership in hopes the truck arrives. If anything, I'll have the opportunity to remind the service manager not to mount the front license plate holder. Or maybe I'll test drive another Roadster to remind me why I ordered one in the first place.

Finally I am on the road to recovery. I never ordered a Mini. This build sheet is something I downloaded from an internet hoax site. Mini was discontinued by the Rover Group in 2000 and BMW never bought the brand and certainly never produced a Mini car. All these cute colorful hatch’s I’ve been seeing in traffic were just spots in my eyes. My visit to this supposed dealership was actually to a rental car agency where I paid $45.90 to rent a Mazda for a day, then returned it 25 minutes later after a 3 mile trip around the block. The salesman I’ve been emailing was my other email account and all the replies about configuration and delivery were from me. Tracking ships from port to port was real enough but none have anything called a Mini on them as they don’t exist. This website is also real enough and it’s been explained by my psychologist that it was created by a board of psychiatric medical professionals to attract and identify those who need treatment through IP and trace routing connections

I’m only able to send this warning to you, my friends, by begging to use the bathroom before the guys in the white coats escort me to the treatment center. They have my cell and laptop but fortunately I’d left the ipad in the toilet which enabled me the chance to tell my story. They’re banging on the door, they’re going to break it down……Good Lu

I think I'm channel surfing and stopped on TV Land... just caught the final episode of the Newhart show. You'll soon wake up in bed next to Suzanne Pleshette and find out that this has all been just a dream...

I hope you mean Suzanne Pleshette as she appeared then, versus now.

You can find me in the padded room next to swjtx
No Suzanne here , only Cartoon characters that keep saying "I'm only drawn that way!"
Just a moment... "No I don't care for tea, Thank you."
and of course a Rabbit wearing a Top hat.

My MINI is still at the VDC in Ga.

[QUOTE=swjtx;3820125]I think our rides will be on the same truck. I only said the 12th because that's really the earliest I'd want to pick it up so I was just saying I think it would make it there at least by the 12th. More likely earlier.

Hi RottVet,

Just got an email from my sales-dude-ster who said my Mini is departing GA today. If you're also departing today, we should be on the same truck. I'll bring a deck of cards, you bring your wallet.

Alright! The car arrived at the dealer two days early from the Monday "estimate"! Pushing the delivery up a day to Monday evening.

So 30 days even from calling them and placing the order to taking delivery, not too shabby MINI!
