The hood scoop is still covered by the white transport vinyl wrap to prevent shipping damage...you can see it if you look closely.
Ah, yes I see it's got that plastic on the hood but no I can't make out enough detail to see the scoop. I'm sure it's hiding under but I can't see it.
I assume it has a scoop. The entire bonnet is still covered with white wrap from the factory to protect the car during shipping. The car has yet to be prepped. It's sitting in the back lot behind the service building.
Ah, and that had the option listed I presume? Nice you get a second chance. I was back and forth on the Nav. At one point after the order I asked about making changes (still thinking about the Nav) and was told once it's in Prod, no changes. It was. I still don't want the Nav but started thinking that deleting it might delete a feature I do want. The whole thing is pretty confusing TBH with what "connected" features you get with the various options/packages.
Hope you have good weather for top down driving all week
Look forward to more pictures when you take a break
Yes, they seem very laid back and trusting people at that dealership.. They just had me write down my credit card info on a piece of paper and told me that they MIGHT charge me a couple of hundred dollars for the security deposit and so far, after 3 weeks they haven't charge my card yet.. I got my production number for the new order and it's in "on order" status since placing the 2nd order this past Friday..
Already had tequila shots with Mexican stew tonight. Thunderstorms expected on delivery day, but clear weather until we leave for Florida on Saturday. At least I'll get a few nice days with the Roadster.

Take lots of pics tomorrow, and be sure to enjoy the moment you and John Bull officially meet!
That's great, QH! I spoke with my MA about not drilling holes for a front license plate holder. He already issued orders to the service department, so I'm covered. With Florida in mind, it makes no sense to have my front bumper marred by holes when I only need a rear plate in the Sunshine State.

Anyway, it's going to be all I can do to not pester my MA every day until the beast arrives. I'm mildly envious that you get to drive John Bull for the entire week... but that's just how things work, especially given how I do project work in far-flung places.
Congrats to everyone who's got their new MINI... Keep the faith (or padded cell) to everyone who's waiting. Seems mine is at the VDC with an expected delivery date of tomorrow (my MA's day off).
Unfortunately in MO, we have to have front license plates. But I'm ordering one of the holders that will screw into the tow-hook mounting point... just because the state insists on silly redundancies doesn't mean that I have to permanently mar my vehicle to meet the requirement.

To All 2014 model buyers:
There is a NAM thread pertaining to insulation under the bonnet. My '14 Roadster S was delivered without any insulation at all. Apparently, the turbo heat has caused issues with warping the scoop, etc. I'm not a technical or mechanical kind of guy. The NAM thread I'm referring to has pictures and part numbers detailing the items.
Did any of you have the insulation already installed on delivery? Is this an option? I know there's a general thread about the insulation itself, but I'm trying to determine what '14 model owners received in their MINI's at delivery.
Thanks,
Dave

T Dave :
Can't help you, as my Coupe is still en route to the dealer.
I saw that thread also and was lead to believe that the bonnet insulation was standard equipment to prevent the scoop warping on the "s" versions.

I couldn't find in the previous posts quickly my fellow Colorado folks but our Julius that was on the Toronto will be at Mini of Loveland in CO on Sunday the 10th.
Apparently it was delayed getting off the ship?? Not sure if delayed step one trickles down to delayed steps further down stream.

Undoubtedly .... waffles.
The last guy to report summed up the thread by saying people were buying them on their own, though apparently a few got MINI to install them. Apparently the parts are only about $85 and 10 minutes installation time. Sounds okay, but I'll probably try to twist their arms anyway.
Guys, my MA is telling me that they can't order All Season tires with my JCW exterior package (Challenge spoke wheels) becausw their system is not allowing them even though the Mini builder site gives you the option for All Season tires. Has anyone have this issue?? Can't they just swap the tires ones it comes into the dealership??
