Just Ordered My First MiNi
Hey All,
I just wanted to drop by and say Hi and that I'm looking forward to a great community of Mini Owner's! So a little background history about my previous cars. I owned a 2011 Subaru STi which I miss a lot and currently drive a 2008 BMW M5. I will one day own another STi and keep the Mini. I've always been intrigue by the comments made my Mini Owner's that they are just an all out fun go-kart. I was getting tired of shedding 700+ dollars a month out on gas for the M5. So I decided now is the time to get rid of it and pick up something that will be as fun as the subaru and gas efficient( I drive 26K a year) I made a short trip to the dealer and I already had an idea that I wanted a JCW Hardtop. I test drove one and was just mind blown on how the thing shifted, responded to steering input, and the brakes!!! (The M5 has some serious braking power, use them too much and you'll suffer severe brake fade) The sport button made my brother giggle like a little school girl getting her first kiss! He couldn't stop smiling as I left out of the gas on 2nd gear. I didn't rev the car past 3.5k as it only had 35 miles on it( respect others property) I did take one tight right hand corner that scared the Saleswomen and made the rear throw out. I thought for a minute, it was a RWD car. Okay enough talk about the test drive. I ended up ordering a 2013 JCW hardtop in CR with a black top. Recaro's and Premium pkg 2. Tech package w/ navi. I had the option to get a GP but i wanted the rear seats and my luck with dark color cars has me worried
Hopefully I'll get my car in 4-6 weeks I was told. I'll leave some pictures of the previous and current car now until I get the MINI
