Hello everyone

This is my introductory thread. I purchased a 2009 Mini Cooper S a little over a week ago. The car is in great shape with 24k miles. I am loving it so far. I don't know much about Minis but have been a car enthusiast all of my life (i am 46). All of my performance vehicles so far have been American V8 iron. I still have a car to fill that desire but wanted something different and fun for a daily driver. So I opted for the mini and so far no regrets at all. I look forward to learning more about my car here and I'm sure I will do a few mods to it.

Anyhow, hello!

Dave

Thanks. I've been reading up here and all the problems with the R56 are a little bit of a concern. I didn't really research these much before buying. But I bought it from carmax and I purchased an extended warranty. And I can fix any motor probs myself if it comes down to it. As long as it is reliable for an occasional 1k mile road trip all should be good. I really enjoy driving this car.

Welcome, you will enjoy. The good part about reading the issues is that most have warning signs and if you pick those up here you will be in good shape.

The Blue on Blue is a cool look.
