Happy Birthday to my MINI*

Hello everyone!

After 10+ mock versions of my order, I finally came to a final draft that fit my price range. I placed an order for my 2013 MCS Hardtop this past weekend and received an email from my sales rep today:

"As of 5:39:19 AM yesterday morning, your new baby was assigned her official VIN.."

Woohoo! Now, the waiting game...

2013 Cooper S Hardtop
6-Speed Manual
Midnight Black Body Color
Anthracite Headliner
JCW Exterior Pkg
JCW Interior Pkg w/Std Leatherette Interior
Sport Suspension
Mini Connected Pkg

Nothing Fancy, just the options that I'd be happy with. Can't wait and I'm getting pretty anxious to see it @&aklflx$&%!

Approx delivery date is 08/30, so... 51 more days

Welcome to NAM and congrats on your new MINI. Let the waiting game begin. I'm surprised that you were still able to get confirmed for a 2013.

Congrats!! I don't know how you can stand waiting! I was so glad that NW MINI had one on the lot that was what I would have ordered. I was sold as soon as my MA zipped around a bit to show how agile the car was. When he gave me the driver's seat, I was done for. I would have driven my husband crazy waiting for it to be built. It will be worth the wait.

I wasn't sure how long it would take for an order, but they told me nonchalantly, "it's just a two month wait". Now the anticipation makes me feel like someone shoved a year into my two month wait. Ahhhhhh!!

Yes! I'm following the progress, but I'm in close contact with my sales rep who updates me on her status once in a while. I heard that the OL tracking is normally about 7 days delayed? I'm about to become very good friends with my sales rep in the next 2 months

Space

Yes,

Not as much space but then plenty for me. I was surprised at how much there is in the boot. Your can put two laundry baskets in there!

For me, I just move the passenger seat forward two clicks and my briefcase fits perfect behind it.

The little ledge behind the seats is perfect for a kleenex box and umbrella. Behind the passenger seat I hang the Rubbish bag.

I did pull out the carpet floor mats and add the rubber ones. Easier to clean.

Dream to drive just like the wife's Mini Countryman. You will not be disappointed. Car arrived sooner than the tracking on the website which was a few days behind.

Dealer was able to predict with accuracy where it was, when it would arrive and we were able to schedule picking it up about 5 days in advance.

Oh man! I'd be happy to see her earlier, even if it's just a day sooner. I usually lug around a lot of gear so I'm definitely going to have the backseats down majority of the time to utilize the space. I'm coming from an Xterra so It'll take some getting used to..

Glad there's still time for enthusiasts to get in on the 2013 model year.

Yes! I've had my eye on the mini for a while now and I've finally decided to get one especially with the 0.9% apr!! Also I saw some of the 2014 spy shots and I'm not totally into the new facelift.

She's on a boat!! I just got word from my SA that my Mini's on the boat and en route! Looks like she'll be arriving about 20 days early!! Best. News. Ever. The actual date of release may vary depending on the Oxnard port but it's still surprising how quickly it went from order, production to BOAT.
