Hey all,

This past weekend I traded my beloved Jeep wrangler in for a 2005 Mini S. At first I didn't think I would be able to do it fearing I would miss my jeep and all the capability of an off road vehicle. But I test drove this little beast and immediately fell in love with it. I cant believe the power it has for such a little motor. not to mention the handling. This car is awesome!!!

 

I also traded in my jeep and got an MCS and have not missed it one bit! Good looking R53 !

 

Nice cooper! I like that color and the rims. I just purchased an 06 cooper s myself. Happy motoring!!

And, IMO, and many others', you picked a good year for a used MINI. Many of us believe 2005 and 2006 were the best years for dependability and reliability.

Nice color, too. What were they calling that color in 2005 ? Was it Laser Blue ? Hyper Blue ?

is Des Plains the one outside Chi'? From the IL plates I'll guess yes - I grew up very near there ... Hillside ... a long time ago ....

When entering any new group it is a good idea to learn the local lingo. I can't image how many booboos I'd make if I bought a Harley and went to an outing or web page!
