7 long years

After 7 years of wanting one, I finally was able to make it work. My new mini is on Cargo ship Torino on its way to LA.

All I can do is wait.

Welcome to NAM and congrats on your new MINI. Waiting is the worst part of the whole process. Sorry I was unable to see your attachments. You might want to check them out.

hey there chris
Flickr embed links don't work here, but anyone can rightclick on them and load them normally in the browser.
looks like a nice configuration!

I'm on the Torino too, but I have another day to wait beyond you, as I'm up int he SF area.
You'll love that R56!

Thanks for clearing that up, thirdraildesignlab. I concur, it does look like a nice configuration.

Congratulations! The exterior is almost identical to mine, which is on a ship headed for NY right now -- same wheels, black roof & mirror caps. I have the black sport stripes, which are twin stripes running up the center of the hood & hatch.

Got the pics fixed. Glad to see I am not the only one getting Brown seats. My MA said there were no brown leather seats ordered in the last 6 months.

My MA said that their dealership hasn't ordered one MINI with the Lounge Toffee Leather for 2013. I think they're more excited to see it in person than I am.

Same here. I wanted to see them in person first but they couldn't even find one for photo of the seats.

It's satisfying to know that there seems to be minimal popularity of the Toffee color.

Very nice, you definitely won't find many others with that colour combo but it works!

I notice in your original build pics you had the "MINI Yours" Soda dash kit, but it's not in the final pics. Did they stop making it before your MINI was built? The day I went to order mine (4/13) they dropped that item from the configurator, I was mad because I really wanted the matte finish...but if you already got yours and the dash wasn't available then they must've stopped making it way before I ordered. Still annoying, I thought the matte finish looked great.

Nice British scuttles. I bought them for mine, too. It is surprising how many people have commented on them. Just a fun little top-of-the-hat to the car's heritage.

I was really bummed about this. I didn't fint out until the car showed up but apparently you can't have both mini yours and the JCW interior. You can pick them both out on the site but they wont do it at the factory.

If I could get the dash pieces on the aftermarket I would probably get them but dash pieces are pretty hard to find.

They also ordered my car without the black roof and mirror caps. It is actually grey all over. I picked it up at night and signed off on it and didnt notice since it was so dark out. Even in the day light it is hard to tell but it doesnt bother me at all. I kinda like it.

If you end up wanting or getting the "Soda Dash" you could match it with the soda Mirror caps.

"Soda" Dash trim

"Soda" Mirror caps:

Soda Mirror Cover - Left ( Non - power fold )

http://www.ecstuning.com/Search/51167296149/ES2564916/

Soda Mirror Cover - Right ( Non - power fold )

http://www.ecstuning.com/Search/51167296150/ES2564917/

&

Soda Mirror Cover - Left ( power fold )

http://www.ecstuning.com/Search/51167296151/ES2530892/

Soda Mirror Cover - Right ( power fold )

http://www.ecstuning.com/Search/51167296152/ES2530893/

That would make it pretty different.

If you could get me the dash pieces as well I might be interested. They look pretty cool.
