Yup a manual '09 Clubman non-S in Sparkling Silver w/20k on it.

Coming from an '05 xB I bought new and put on 242k over the ensuing years. Love the MINI and I can't wait to take ownership this coming weekend. Looked for quite a while and found a great deal on an exceptionally clean low miler.

Got a few mods planned but nothing ground breaking. This'll be my daily driver so it'll see a lot of use. I average about 125 miles a day, hoping for better than average reliabilty but the fun factor and the mileage will hopefully offset any glitches the car may encounter.

Hello All

Had so hoped to purchase the 09 Clubbie I found at a dealer last week.

Had all arrangements made financially, new tires selected to replace the run
flats etc

But than I/we tried out the Bluetooth cell phone feature that was advertized
on the sticker on the car and also on the web site where I found the
car at least 2 months ago.

After at least 2 hours of the tech and salesman trying to figure it out
it was determined the car was not equipped with this feature in the 1st place.

How disappointing

I rather loudly told them what I thought of their deceiving ways and went out the door never to return

Rant over now======its off my chest

if they spent two hours trying to figure it out, i highly doubt that they were trying to deceive you. still sucks though that you didn't end up with it.

Yea, I agree w/psichick......does not seem like they were trying to deceive you. I am sure that even now they would work with you on getting a Mini. It was probably not meant for you to get this particular one. You can find them allllllll over the US. Bought my 1202 miles from my home. Mini people are really super people to deal with..........think about it & maybe give them another chance. Just thinkin'

I still feel they were deceiving me for the simple reason being
the Bluetooth feature was on the option list on the car as well as
their web site.

Funny part of this is the proper buttons were on the car for proper operation of the Bluetooth system.

To me that feature is very important and will not buy one without it.

Last month was looking at a Mini on a dealers web site and the same car was 2 different colors.......???? Deceiving???

Also my location is Indiana not LI (Long Island)??? maybe.

Will keep lookin for a Clubbie and some day will fine one to my liking

A quick check on the VIN would/will confirm if Bluetooth is on it. If it wasn't a MINI dealer, it's entirely possible they didn't know how to make it work. Just saying.

Will try to call a dealer tomorrow and have them run the vin on 1 I found to see how it is equipped

Got it at the dealer it is a MINI add-on part. Wouldn't normally pay dealer prices but it was a must have for me and I have no patience, hehe.

I guess it's first mod was Bluetooth since it didn't have it even though it was advertised Got the Parrot system, haven't tried it yet.
