Just got a 2003 cooper s. been waiting a long time but finally got it! First time also joining a forum so all tips will be greatly appreciated.

 

Welcome aboard, and congrats on your purchase! I acquired my MINI after a long period of waiting, wanting, and lusting too, so I can say I know how you feel.

My advice is threefold:

1) read through the First Gen forums here
2) find a good local independent MINI mechanic in your area (if you're not mechanically inclined yourself, which I'm not)
3) find a local MINI club and join in the fun

Welcome...and if you're not mechanically inclined, you will learn to be very quickly if you don't want to empty your wallet.
