Newbie saying hi!

Well this is my first post and I'm the new owner of a 2006 R52 cooper S.

I'm new to minis but I've always liked them. I'm very familiar with BMW's of the early 00's.

I've been doing a little browsing of the site and have a few questions;

1)Is there an online VIN decoder to see what options I have?
2)Do people go the OEM route for a TCU and nav? Or do they go mediabridge/Dension? I'd like the MFSW and snap in to be supported.
3)Are my seats fitted with heating elements (too dark to check now)(my seats are manual)
4)Is comfort closing from the remote codeable with NCS?
5)I have the HK audio, is it just 4/6 speakers or is there a subwoofer too?
6)Are there any easter eggs, such as the digital speedo, option prewires (BT, EC mirror, rain sensor) or a cluster test mode I can look into?
7)How do I tell if I have a JCW or sports pack?

Wow, that's more questions than I thought Thanks for any replies in advance.

Cheers,
Bob

On the heated seats

3) I have wires to 3 connectors, one yellow, one blue one black.

I assume the yellow is the seat airbag and the blue is the pretensioner, and the black is the seatbelt sensor. This means (I assume) I'm not prewired for heated seats, unless the harness is hidden in the carpet.
