New 2012 MINI added to our family
Ok folks.. yes we just took delivery of a 2012 MCS Convertible for my wife. It's fully spec'd out with JCW aero kit, 6 speed, leather, nav....very very sweet configuration. Here are some pix right now....it'll be undergoing the full treatment:
Coilovers, Intake, Exhaust, powdercoating wheels black for backup wheels and adding Konig Advanced wheels in black and red, and a variety of mods to make this baby look mean!
Stay tuned!
Pickup

Complete with buffer trails and lint!

And faded trim!

Craven Speed Shorty antennae added

In our garage at home

Red stitched Steering Wheel

Quick Pshop of planned mods...

Thanks! Yep it still needs its first detail...as soon as my schedule frees up, it'll undergo that treatment...waiting for some mods to arrive. The wheels are scheduled to arrive today.
After finding out how much the TPMS sensors are for our 2012 models (nearly $400), I decided to remove them off the stock wheels and put them on the aftermarket wheels. This will allow me to powdercoat the stock wheels black as well.
That's the first change to be made...next up are coilovers and various engine , suspension mods, and cosmetic mods like on my Clubbie.

Between all the the new models these days sometimes I forget about the cabrio. Don't know why though, because they are sharp!
Very nice looking MINI!
Is this number 4? Do you have a favorite outa the bunch?

The roadster/coupe weren't options for us since we have an eight year old as well as two small dogs. The cabrio is a lot of fun as I've discovered. Yep this is #4! I'm quite happy having a manual back in the family again, lol. Each one had it's own share of idiosyncrasies and learning lessons for me.
Here's the latest pic of it as of today...still have a lot of mods to do..but time is limited....and we still need to detail it. Blacked out most of the chrome..belt line will be tackled later this week as well as brake calipers. White side markers will be black as well as all reflectors. Debadged Cooper S emblem on boot. Waiting on coilovers that are on backorder, camber plates, control arms and a bunch of NM Engineering mods on the way.

If you like convertibles, you won't be disappointed. Well the only pointless gadget to me is the Openometer...but I try to ignore that as much as I can.
