"Those waiting for a 2013" Support Group
I found out Yesterday my Roadster S Convertible (DOB 9-20-12) is on the California Hwy with it's brothers & sisters. Should arrive in Brunswick on the 10/8/12 Mine will go to Raleigh, NC Mini dealer then to it's new home in Wilmington, NC
Mine will make the 15 hour drive from Brunswick to the Mini of the Woodlands near Houston. I ordered it through there b/c of a family connection and they gave me a good family discount (Mini of Austin would not budge one little bit on sticker price so I went else where)...I'll have to figure out a way there and will enjoy a wonderful 2 1/2 hour drive breaking it in to bring it home to Austin.
Attached is the TRACK link for Cali-Hwy. http://www.marinetraffic.com/ais/shi...MMSI=352732000
I thought it would use SAT-Nav for reporting tracking but it must use ground base (towers) when it gets witin 40-60 miles of the US coast we should seen it. I went on K-line & it said scheduled to arrive on the 8th in Brunswick & 10th in Charleston see link below http://www.kline.com/KAMCarCarrier/S...g_Schedule.pdf

Well, I got an email from my MA last night saying my car was on the Fidelio, no duh!! Good to know that MINI is catching up.
I asked him whether I could get the $750 Motoring Not Normal event incentive and his response was that they should be able to work it out. It sounds like it is only valid on cars that have been "unsold" for a week because he said that to do it they would have to change my priority from "Customer Sold" for a week before it arrives. But he would confirm with me later.
I suppose a week delay is worth $750 though not if my current MINI dies in the meantime.

I think it may be time for me to finally graduate from this thread...
MA to me a few hours ago: Incentive is $750 as we expected, we are getting cars this morning and I will update you in a little bit about yours.
From me to MA: If it makes it to you today, does that make Saturday pretty much a certainty?
MA's response just now: It is here and yes Saturday is a certainty...see you then.
[Me to you: YAYYYYYYYYYY!]

So bossy! First I need to go find the how-to on how-to-do-that.
In other words: I'll think about it.
I've got a couple (of other people's) that are the same as mine, but that's almost certainly not what you meant.

Hey All,
Been watching all of your comments for awhile and glad to see all of the excited new owners.
I'm about to become the owner of a 2013 JCW Coupe R58. Mine is sitting on the Carmen and it's coming down from New York today to Baltimore.
Other than the VDC wait time (Hope my baby didn't get dinged on the ship) I'm hoping to hear some good news from my MA about an early arrival at the dealer. Currently they said pick up would be on the 10th Oct. but here's to hoping!!

California Highway
Thanks everyone for your posts, which have been very helpful. My mini has been stuck in "awaiting transport" status for almost two weeks and the VIN doesn't show on the WWL tracking site. Based on everyone's posts, I think I'm probably correct in deducing that my car is actually on a ship, probably the K-Line's California Highway. The status through the owner's lounge remains unchanged, but the status at 1-866-ASK MINI changed to "in transit - contact dealer for additional information." So, hopefully my Mini arrives in Brunswick, GA on 10/8 - yay!

MA told me this morning that mine should be in Stamford on Monday. Assuming I will pick up Saturday as they have to install lights as well as normal prep.

(However, they did promise me a good rate compared to the financing I secured elsewhere, and have been lenient on the deposit so far)
I'm getting mine for $850 under MSRP. I did all my negotiating over Facebook, I could never do it face to face. Now if I can get the $750 incenvtive too, that would be quite the icing.
Because of a cousin there, I was able to get a couple grand off of MSRP. Not a crazy discount or anything, but considering it was on a custom 2013 order where every other dealer in area was saying "no, sorry, nothing off", it was definitely enough to make me to go through them. Gotta love family.
I don't really mind paying MSRP so much - I just have to drink 1694 more of their complementary sodas!
Now, there's no way I'm paying 'retail' for the extended warranty or service plan even though I want them...those are virtual assets that can be purchased over the phone from literally any MINI dealer, right?

I just sent an email to my MA asking about the incentive. I'm not particularly hopeful. I have not had a great experience at the dealer. My MA seems like an upright guy, but he doesn't get my sense of humor. He seems too serious. Not to mention I'm still smarting from being told I should only get my Mini updates from him.

I would think that using the rebate to purchase Accessories or warranties or whatever would be incentive enough for them to let you use it.
