"Those waiting for a 2013" Support Group
Yes it is interesting that it seems to be Brunswick bound cars that have no information. I did get my MA's attention this weekend. She said yes my car is coming into Brunswick, she is not sure why there is no information but on Monday they will inquire with the district rep as to why other cars are being delivered but no information on mine. Hope to know something soon.

Hey Molly hopefully your MA will give you the good news yours boarded a K-Line. I talked with mine yesterday and he said his system won't update until Sunday @ midnight "Monday." I think we just caught a bad time in production and were having to wait for MINI to get caught up with August's demands.

This might sound crazy but if you do move out to Oregon, you might be able to get your dealer to somehow get it sent to an Oregon dealership. Talking with our MA here they said they could get a Cooper sent to our location from anywhere in the U.S. Might cost some $$$ but its probably cheaper than a plane ticket and gas. By the way I lived in Washington for a while. LOVE the northwest.

I wasn't planning on asking my MA for anything after she texted me 3 days ago saying she was going to "ask her manager" about my MINI, and then not a single word after or since. But since you guys will, I'll try one more time. Hopeful for some updates.
My MA e-mailed me and said he called the distribution center and they created a case with HQ to find my MINI. I think they will track her every move. Hope it won't take too long to get word back. I'll post when I hear something.
My car was built on the 20th, arrived at the port on the 24th. It's headed for Brunswick, GA and two boats left this weekend. I'm going to ask my MA if he has any info but the next boat doesn't leave for a few days and I'm waiting like a few others for information.
It seems to me from casual observation that the East Coast/South Minis are having a longer wait in Southampton then the West Coast. I waited a week but I got on the first ship out of there. Maybe Mini needs another carrier, at least for the initial rush after the summer shutdown?
They let you order your plate before it arrives?
I was surprised. At least here in California you don't even have to have a car to out them on. Explains why it's so hard to find a good one.
MCS Hard Top. Somewhere out there on the ocean, odd to me that you can only track these ships when they are close to land.
Hello everyone, I called MINI USA and basically explained my situation and asked for any help. The man on the phone told me his tracking abilities end when the car gets to Southampton, as you may know, but he was helpful enough to call my dealership when I told him my MA is being useless.
So he told me my dealership's sales department (not my MA) said the port might be waiting for more cars to arrive at the port with the same destination, before loading them onto a ship. If you think that sounds insane, I strongly agree.
After that phone call, my MA messaged me saying "We spoke with BMW North America and they explained to us that the JCW is a special car that goes through different inspections and this is one of the reasons it is taking a little longer. The other reason is that the ship needs to get complete before it leaves the port."
Now I know Slay has ordered a JCW for Brunswick and finished around 9/13 like me. But, I don't believe Molly or Babsmike ordered JCW right? So even if the extra inspection is true, I believe we are all waiting for the same ridiculous reason.

For an extra $100 the could put a GPS tracker on our cars and I would probably sit and watch the feed all day.

How did you determine it was on a boat?
Molly, is there any chance she's on a KLine and no one knows it? I'm so sad your wait has been so long. The stuff about dealers makes no sense. If that was the case I'd imagine the hold up would be at the VDC not getting on a ship.
