The Tortugas is back on the radar, traveling at 17knots about halfway past off the coast of Baja California. ETA got changed back to the 30th for Port Hueneme. Sent from my iPhone using NAMotoring

Time Conversion
My ship finally came back in range today. It should be docking around 6:00 tomorrow morning. Can't wait to have the ship dock so I can stop worrying about it sinking! Okay, take a breath . . . I'm okay now.

Alright - I have way too much time on my hands. I checked your ETA on marinetraffic and it shows 10/30 5:00. This is probably set at UTC time (that's how my ship is listed) which when converted to pacific daylight means your ship will arrive on 10/29 at 10pm. Doesn't that make you feel better? My ship finally came back in range today. It should be docking around 6:00 tomorrow morning. Can't wait to have the ship dock so I can stop worrying about it sinking! Okay, take a breath . . . The Tortugas must've gotten stuck through LA traffic as it's just now only about to enter Port Hueneme. Oh well, glad it's made the voyage safely. That's about 20 days since it left Southhampton.

My MINI is confirmed at the VDC by my MA (of course I told him the ship docked, unloaded/reloaded and is on its way to Halifax). He said it usually takes 2 - 4 business days for it to be delivered to the dealer. How long can it take to put stripes and mud flaps on? Here's hoping it only two days total. I'd love to have it by the weekend (but I think that's pushing it). Keep your fingers crossed for me!

Time to Vent
So I got an email from my MA last night that states the VDC were unable to attach front mud flaps on my car because of the standard JCW aero kit (yes, you're right - you can order them on the configurator as an option . . . ?). So without asking if they should - they installed the rear only. Why? I guess they like the look of inconsistencies from the front to rear. Well, I don't. And I let my MA know. To be continued . . .

I also got an email from my MA this evening and my JCW will arrive at the dealership either tomorrow or Sunday! Sooner than I expected from the VDC and actually caught me off guard. lol I am already working this weekend so the soonest I can take delivery is either Thursday or next Saturday. Also, trying to finalize whether the dealer will do the clear bra or if I will have to go 3rd party; same goes for the LED foglights. Should be an interesting weekend and next week coming up!
