Hadn't thought about drains in each bay but hmmmmmmm. Washing the car inside the garage. Guess it wouldn't screw up the drywall for it to get wet as long as you don't soak it.

Yeah, the house is pretty good too... not very big but will just be the two of us and an occasional guest. Will make a few tweaks on it... push the kitchen peninsula out toward the great room and make the kitchen big enough for an island. Few other small things.

Had a friend in the Air Force who won a Showcase Showdown on The Price Is Right back in the 90s. He ended up winning about $65K of stuff. He sold half of the stuff to pay the taxes. Seems they tax game show winnings at a higher rate than your income tax.

 

Uhhh.... guys... should I be concerned about this ? Did a check of my VIN on the WW website. The top of the inquiry result still shows me on the manifest but at the bottom, I see a third entry now and it says "returned to shipper" today.

Gee, it never occurred to me that you'd have trouble controlling your hose! I've never had a problem, but then my aim is pretty good. I only wash on the 2-car side, BTW.

Then you need to get a Metro Master Blaster to dry your cars. It's great - no more fine scratches from towels: http://www.cardryer.com/air-force-blaster-car-dryers. And maybe a high-efficiency heat pump to maintain a comfortable working temperature in the garage year-round. Or maybe just a door or welding curtain to block off the 1-car section from the rest of the garage, so you can work in there any time.

No, she doesn't. And there's certain money that I spend that is not to be talked about. This would be one of those times.

 

It just means there wasn't room for your car on this ship and that you will be first in line for the next ship. It happened to me too; mine was one of 3 MINIs that got bumped from the first ship, but it was on the next one 4 days later.

I had a feeling that's what it meant. Damn. How could I be booked for NINE days and then be bumped ? They couldn't be that far behind in shipping, could they ? (rhetorical question born out of frustration)

MA got us a extra cup holder (since we have the bench in rear), keychains and standard mats.

We'll be motoring today, so won't update for a while. But ill check in on everyone else's deliveries!

I believe the government withholds at the highest legal rate to make sure it gets all the money it can. The only way to recover any of it is when you file your tax forms for that year, but a lot of people can't come up with enough deductions to support a full refund of the taxes paid - so they just get screwed. That's why so many people end up selling their big prizes - just to pay the friggin' taxes. Great system, huh? The savvy contests include the amount of the tax "penalty" as part of the prize.

I have a manual, but your tach photo made me realize I wish I had an indicator that showed the current gear. Ok, total newb request, but there are times when I wouldn't mind knowing if I'm in fourth or fifth without taking my hands off the wheel. New owner nerves, I guess.

 

I had one on the GTI I traded on my JCW, and I used it all the time. There's a reason a lot of race cars have them!

Well my MINI is at the MVDC.. My dealer should get it next week sometime then..The way I understand this is my dealer picks it up Monday...But we will see..Things seem to be moving at a good pace again.. waiting for a shipping vessel was the worst ..They need more ships!!!

Maybe WW figured out they didn't own the Michigan Highway and it will be on one if their boats. Looks like yours never got loaded.
