For those waiting on the VDC... My MA didn't get any notice that mine was on the truck for delivery today.

 

Jkapinos, very nice. Basic black with pearls version. Classic understated elegance. Maybe you won't get quite as much attention from the police. But remember, the spoiler up on a 45 speed limit road is a dead give away.

The GM of the dealer I got mine at came out and to say hello. He said he was almost certain that I was the first 2013 sold in North America.

My coupe is coming into Baltimore and I'm picking up at MINI of PGH too. Seems kind of strange to sit at the VDC for 6 days, but it was more than likely this whole '13 delay debacle. Let's hope it's all behind us and more cars start being delivered.

I also have a hard time believing '2 weeks' and '21 days' from the Baltimore port to Pittsburgh for a car. My MA mentioned something like that and I just thought that it's their built-in wiggle room on the delivery date.

My boat left Southampton today, so I'm hoping in 10 days from now all of this is sorted out and my car gets to the dealer quickly!

 

jakapinos - Now that you are famous don't forget the little people Make sure you let us know how awesome it is how it drives etc... I am planning on living vicariously through y'all who have yours. I figure a new person per day and soon enough I will be one of them

 

I'm sorry to say but for 2013 there is no change under the hood, as far as heat control. Since I have read about the heat from the turbo melting the hood scoop. Before I purchased any heat shields, I figured to wait until I picked her up. Will be ordering soon.

I would figure that they are leaving the VDC in the order received. So you should be on the way. Good luck in receiving it soon!.

 

Im actually leaving on vacation Saturday morning so no matter when it gets to the dealer I cannot pick it up until after the 11th now. If it gets there before I go I will go see it though.

 

Went for a ride and the bi-xenon lights are really nice. Anyone that has them will really like them, when on hi-beam they melt the road. I have them on my other car, but I think these are nicer.

Yes not seen in the pic, but black headlights, bi-xenon, white turn signal, and the dealer said I have the washers. But I did not order them. I got JCW exterior package and the JCW interior. So it is a fake JCW. But I'll fix that soon.

 

I just figured out the washers! There was something about them in the owner's manual, but with other cars, you usually see a hole in the bumper where the washer's pop out. I figured the manual was wrong, and I didn't have them. But I just realized that little circular thing inside the headlights is the washer, huh?

My favorite thing about bi-xenons (my A3 did this as well) is the little self-leveling they do when you turn them on. I always thought that was cool.

 

I did mine the same JCW package and interior just is eclipse grey and I powder coated my wheels black

 

Surprise email just now...Monty's at the dealers awaiting MSO and safety check!!! What a weight off of my shoulders. I thought he had been damaged in transit or something to warrant the 20 day wait. Eeeeeeeeee I'm so excited!!!

Mine is also coming in to Mini of Pitt and got to the VDC on the 26th so now I just wait and see. My luck she will call me to pick it up on sat but I will be at a wedding lol!
