Same here. Ordered my JCW Coupe at about the same time. Unfortunately though, no production date yet.

Patience isn't something I normally have an overabundance of to begin with, so not knowing much of anything at all is making me a bit on the twitchy side.

Yea! Our MINIs made the voyage without mishap. Whew! Big sigh of relief. Hope all goes well through the VDC for all of our rides.

For anyone the has had their MINI "scheduled for production" for longer than your nerves can handle; after a little over three weeks of being "schedule for production" my JCW Coupe went straight to "en route".

Mine was never "On Order" and is still "Scheduled for Production". 866 number told me I'm done being built as of today.

Thanks Scooter!

Me thinks the Mini car tracking system is fundamentally broken.

Congrats, Amancuso! Please post pics once Desmond II arrives.

Awesome Scooter, thanks for the info! If nothing else it lends a bit of hope

Sigh.

My ALL4 timeline:

Oct 6 Ordered car
Oct 14 Had to re-order car to take advantage of Not Normal event
Oct 23 Production started
Nov 2 Finished!!! Yay!!
Nov 3 Says bye-bye to factory
Nov 8 Arrives at Bremerhaven, awaiting ship to Port Hueneme
Nov 10 Says "Bon voyage!" to Asian King, heading to Port Hueneme. Car decides to remain at port.
Nov 10 Says "Bon voyage!" to Rigel Leader, heading to Port Hueneme. Car decides to remain at port.
Nov 15 Still sitting at Bremerhaven dock, hoping someone will take pity on it and put it on their ship.

I'm really, really hoping for Bess, leaving Nov 18 for PH. Otherwise, I'm going to start suspecting that my car is trying to avoid me...

My clubman is on a ship! It's on the Talisman and USA bound.

The only thing I'm nervous about is all the bad feedback I'm reading on the blue tooth phones. I use that feature a LOT. Is anyone happy with their Mini's Bluetooth system?

Mazza: Thanks for the timeline. Always helpful to see what others experienced. I'm fortunate to be in Boston so the ship won't have to go around the horn.

Yam, Congrats! Your baby is almost here! I use Bluetooth in my wife's Clubman all the time. I think it works fine. Who says there's a problem with it?

UPDATE: Called 866 number again this morning. Spoke to customer service who said it still says "On Order" to them with no schedule production date. It's been two weeks. I will call my MA today but it's hard not to be concerned that there's some delay in production. Fingers crossed.

I don't know if there is any rhyme or reason to know how long a car will sit at port. Maybe there is a big backlog at Bremerhaven?

YAY! No problems with the Bluetooth in my 2012 model, works great!

Glad to hear good results from you guys on the Blue Tooth system. This forum is full of negative reports but it may be mainly convertibles.

This last couple weeks is going to be the hardest part of the waiting.

Got ahold of our MA today, and he sent us an updated production sheet:

Vessel: Athens Highway, left 11/10/12
expected to be at the Brunswick VPC on 11/23/12 (day after thanksgiving). I wonder how long it will take to get to Orlando. I have to work a long mostly out of town day on Wednesday... my luck it will come in then!

My wife and I are finally picking up our mini Knightsbridge tomorrow! We ordered it September 14, it was born oct 10, landed in halifax November 5. It's our first mini and we're pretty excited about it. The weather will be perfect so we're planning on a inaugural tour!

Does anyone know if Southampton port works 24/7 or only M-F? If they work on weekends there's a chance my D2 will sail on Monday. As of now I have not been able to find any shipping info. I do know however that the car has left Plant Oxford.

Visited my MA in person tonight. He is confident production will start for me the first week of December so I will simmer down a but and try to put the wait out of my mind. Looks like it may arrive just in time for Christmas, or my birthday.

Still not sure on the naming thing yet. Leeloo, River and Serenity are leading candidates I think.

Seeing your Blue Mini reminds me of when I picked up Miss Kensington back in December of 2003. Minis look so cool in blue. Put a Union Jack on the top and you will get LOADS of compliments. I sure did.

Ordered Oct 8, picked up Nov 16 (today!), probably delayed a week by Sandy. Completely worth the wait!

Leeloo? Hahaha! That's phunny You could name it Multipass or Korben or Vito...take your pick (lol). The 5th Element is one of my favorite movies. So is the original Italian Job. Yeah, waiting sucks; arent't glad you have all this company?
