Newbie here!

Hello folks! My name is Hugo and about 2 weeks ago I purchased a used 2011 Mini Cooper JCW. It's red with the white top. Very happy with it so far! It came with heated cloth seats, bluetooth with "visual boost", and a sunroof. More than what I was looking for when I began my search.

I came out of a fully loaded manual transmission 2012 Hyundai Veloster which although met a lot of my needs, it lacked the performance I had hoped for. Before that I owned a 2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution MR with 400whp. But it was becoming too much of a money pit and as my daily driver, it brought too much attention from cops and ricers, so I got rid of it. Not to mention avergaing 17MPG.

Anyways, I'm hoping with its great handling, great fuel efficiency, and overall performance, the MINI will satisfy where my previous vehicles could not.

Great looking JCW with a classic color scheme.

You brought up a great point with a lot of MINIs, especially JCWs. Most have the sporty look but aren't going to get much attention from Cops, etc.

Have fun with your new-to-you MINI, you will love it.

Now I'm just contemplating what to change aesthetically. I was a big fan of carbon fiber on my evo but seems the CF pieces will contrast too much with my white roof. Not sure what to do about that. Also, I think I'd like to remove my stripes but i'm scared of the paint difference since my car's in the florida sun. "Ghosting" or w/e it's called is a major concern.

I have been reading quite a bit through forums for information on this and what do for performance mods as well that won't break the bank. Seems used pieces will be my best bet.

I just wanted to feel VIP. On Sundays, it's pretty much a skeleton crew working sales at the dealership for the day so we get to park in the back.
